Stamp
for this project i decided to create 2 stamps one that i could roll with and a press on stamp. i started with wedging my clay and once that was done i grabbed a rolling pin and rolled my clay into a thick slab, i cut out a small circle and manipulated the clay to be more into a coin, then i used a felting knife to carve in the letter A all around the coin, i decided with A as it was my first initial. with the press on stamp i wedged my scraps from my last project and squeezed it in my palm to get a long end and a flat end, from there carved a cursive L into the bottom, i chose this to carve into because it’s very pretty to me and I use it a lot so it’s iconic for me.

Face
for this project i didn’t have a set plan but i started with wedging my clay then rolling it into a ball using my hands, from there i gave it a flat bottom and proceeded to carve out the insides till the sides were less thick then my thumb, i then carved out the mouth with a small loop tool, and used my thumbs to give the face some eyes, i wedged my scraps and used them for the teeth, eyes and antenna. half way into the project i realized it sort of looks like gru so i decided to lean into that for the rest of the time.
