Pinch Pot Cut in half
i didn’t have a specific plan for this project but I decided to follow the video all the way through and once it appeared to look like a pot cut it in half. i started with wedging my clay until it was thoroughly wedged then spent a long time pinching the clay into the shape of a pot and whilst making sure all sides were even, gave it a flat base then once it was looking good i grabbed a wire tool and cut my pot in half.

Pinch pot made into something useful with lid
for this project I didn’t have a set plan but i wanted to follow my past steps with the pinch pot cut in half so i began with wedging my clay, then created the pinch pot which failed because my sides were not equal in thickness and the overall shape was wonky. i smashed my failed piece then wedged it again, this time i took a slower approach with the pinching and slowly it came together, I wedged the scraps into a slab to make the lid, once my pot was dry i put the top of it on the slab and cut out an outline for the lid, from there i smoothed it out and used the scarps to create a handle for the lid. i’m not super creative so i added hearts with a loop tool and a fish on the top also with the loop tool. i like how it ended up turning out and i use it as a bowl for my camera accessories

2 pinch pots put together
for this project again i followed my initial process but instead of using a huge chunk of clay to turn into a pot i used 2 smaller chunks. i wedged my clay then proceeded to create the 2 pinch pots which took a very long time, once both were proportional i grabbed some slip and a scoring tool to put them together, smoothed it out then cut out a hole in the top. i decided to not have the pot be super tall so i cut the hole a little bit lower then normal, smoothed it, then used a small loop tool to create hearts around the pot

small sculpture
for this project i used ayla’s slug as inspiration but instead i made a snake. i started with wedging my clay, then rolled it into a coil and sculpted it until and had a sort of squiggle like a snake, i then decided to create sort of dents around the snake to give it sort of detail and then i created the mouth with a felting knife and used a dot tool to create the eyes. most of this project i used my fingers to sculpt it into how i wanted, initially it was much longer but it cracked so I created the 2 pieces into 2 snakes but unfortunately the smaller snake broke. due to the delays I haven’t received a finish product but it is in the kiln now!
